The Draycott’s Guide to New Year Celebrations in Chelsea

Whether you are staying at our luxury hotel to see in 2017 or not, our guide to New Year celebrations in Chelsea is for everyone who likes to party in true style.

Our hotel is close to the King’s Road and Sloane Street and is located a short walk from the iconic borough of Kensington & Chelsea, so there’s plenty on our doorstep to enjoy. We’ve selected our top five recommendations for you to choose from:

New Year Supper at Bluebird Chelsea

One of our favourite spots along the King’s Road is hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration to remember, starting with a palatable brunch from 11am. If that’s a little too early, there’s a five-course supper in the evening, followed by a night of dancing to see in 2017. The Bluebird is a lively venue and considered one of the finest in Chelsea by locals and visitors alike.

New Year’s Eve Ball at The Natural History Museum

The first event of its kind at this iconic landmark in South Kensington means it’s one not to be missed. Ticket holders can join the party after hours – meaning exclusive access and a night at the museum. Can you imagine a more novel way of seeing in the New Year than being surrounded by relics of a bygone age? Set to be a sell-out, book your tickets early to avoid missing out.

Kensington Roof Gardens

Run away with the circus and enjoy an exclusive New Year’s Eve party on the roof of one of Kensington’s most fashionable spots – the Roof Gardens. Indulge in delicious canapés and a mini bottle of Moet to toast the end of 2016 before delighting in a fireworks display and dancing until the early hours.

The Botanist on Sloane Square

Indulge in a lavish celebration at The Botanist, a gorgeous eatery that is just a stone’s throw from our Sloane Square hotel. Enjoy an A la Carte menu, botanical cocktails and Champagne while dancing the night away until 2am before retiring to the Draycott hotel for a good night’s rest.

Swing into the New Year at Ivy Chelsea Garden

With its beautiful winter garden and renowned gourmet menu, The Ivy Chelsea Garden on the King’s Road sets the tone for a New Year of style and swing.  Guests will be able to feast on classic dishes from the A La Carte menu, as well as sip on Champagne and cocktails to start their evening. The fabulous London Swing and Soul Band will also be performing as a quartet and will cover traditional jazz and swing tunes to get the party going – so don’t forget your dancing shoes!

Wave goodbye to 2016 and usher in the New Year at one of these exciting events in the capital.
