Celebrate the Chelsea Flower Show with a Floral Afternoon Tea at the Draycott
At the Draycott, we’re in full celebration mode as the Chelsea Flower Show approaches and we’d like to share our festivities with you.
This year, we’re having tea with William Edwards, using the finest hand painted British China to serve our floral afternoon tea. We’ll be using the Reed range, which features a selection of British birds – quite fitting for the gardening season. Twitchers and flower fanatics will be delighted to find these tea cups and pots hidden all around the hotel, filled with an assortment of fresh flowers, during the Chelsea Flower Show.
We’ve also created a stunning array of flower-themed cocktails, which can be enjoyed every day with our complimentary 6pm champagne service. Interested in finding out more about these floral cocktails, click here.
Chelsea Flower Show Afternoon Tea
As for the tea itself, we have a real treat for you.
Each guest will receive a selection of our handcrafted, traditionally British sandwiches including: cucumber and cream cheese on white bread, salmon and dill cream on brown and ham salad and mustard.
This will be followed by an array of delicious treats, such as:
- Plain and fruit scones
- Lemon drizzle and Victoria sponge cakes
- Summer berry fruit tarts
- A selection of macaroons
- Rose water infused pannacotta with edible flowers
- Vanilla cream filled cornets
- Crème patisserie bites
All of these dishes will be garnished with a selection of edible flowers, giving you the perfect afternoon tea to compliment your visit to the Chelsea flower show. Expect to be able to nibble on violas, lavender, chrysanthemums along with a few other flowery treats.
Our overnight guests will also be able to experience a mouth-watering, selection of flowery cocktails at 6pm, served as part of our usual complimentary champagne hour. Thanks to the hotel being a short walk away from the showgrounds at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, we receive a lot of bookings around this time of year – so please make your reservations at your earliest possible convenience.
